Epilogue

This book has attempted to give a basic sketch of some of the events that have contributed to this development. It has focused on activities that illustrate the life of the organization at various levels and that show its wide range of activity. Of course, the book does not contain a complete account of everything that has taken place. Thousands of courses and meetings of various types have not been included, including those that have represented significant contributions to the development of Acem.

Acem has always been a non-profit organization based on volunteer work and idealism. A large number of people have contributed to the development of Acem over the years, far too many to be mentioned by name. Some have contributed for a period, others have stayed on for decades. Some of the regular contributors have wound down their activity and gone into natural retirement. New generations have appeared on the scene. The effort of all those who have donated their time to enable Acem to offer its courses to more and more people is highly appreciated. As Acem celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2016, the organization seemed vigorous and focused on reaching out to more people across the world.
