53 years have passed since a group of young students at Oslo University established Acem. Since then it has become established in many countries. On 22nd Sept 2018, Prof. Are Holen, the founder of Acem was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Open University. As they said, "His rigorous research and compassionate practice have transformed the lives of people across the world"
Maria Gjems-Onstad, psychologist and Acem Initiator, will tell the inside story of how this amazing growth has been achieved. She will answer questions and reflect upon how effortless mental repetition of a meaningless sound can lead to personal development. Alice Cameron, teacher and Acem Moderator in London, will speak about the activities in England and perspectives for the future.
